Today
In 1997, we received an old dilapidated building of former village school at Malejovice, 65 kilometres far from Prague. Extensive reconstruction of the house was needed - the works started in winter 1999, cost almost 15 mils CZK, and dozens of companies and hundreds of volunteers participated in it.
The renovation was completed and the operation permit issued in second half of 2004.
Now the house offers short-term respite stays to families with sick children who still are relatively self-contained, i.e. who do not require intensive medical and nursing care. The house is now able to accommodate 2-5 families or a group of up to about 30 people.

Medical part of the hospice - the nursing unit - should be purpose built close to the "respite" building in the years to come.
